I want to post a project, but I'm recovering right now :)

Oh no! Wishing you a speedy recovery! No DIY injuries here, aside from paper cuts, thankfully :)
Feel better!!! Can't wait to see your projects! Once, when my husband and I were painting a wall, I was standing on the ladder with a roller, directly above his head... paint dropped in his eyes, it was quit painful Nothing flushing with water couldn't fix
Yes. While working on a fence I dropped a post on my foot and broke two toes. Ouch
Get well soon! Projects are waiting =:) Take a easy, relax, write down any ideas, and take your time. Back in '86, I cut part of my left thumb off on a table saw. Working late, tired, rushing to finish. MY BAD!
Hey Lindavk, I just started a few months ago myself-Hometalk is a very encouraging site! Now I deal with pain issues and I am supposed to limit my movement, but I get so revved up about my ideas, I go ahead anyway. So some are a little behind, but that's OK-they seem to love them anyway!
Just start your new year healthy and look forward to seeing your ideas when your better!
I once sliced off a little bit of the top of my thumb with an exacto knife while cutting along a ruler edge. Now i always "watch the blade" as they say. You live and learn. Speedy recovery!
OUCH! Speedy recovery to you! I've had broken ribs from a car accident. It's no fun! To answer your question: I did have to go to ER for stitches working late one night cutting a photo matte with a hand blade that slipped. Husband was not amused, as he had to get up at 1 a.m. to take me. Oopsie!
While working on a DIY Sheetrock effort, I managed to use the power driver to sink a sheetrock screw through the Sheetrock and into the stud. The upside was I did a masterful job. The downside was I tried to pull my hand away and admire my work. This is where I realized that in the cold winter I had managed to screw my index finger with the screw. So then I had the ultimate joy of unscrewing my great job in order to get my finger back. The wiser person would have said, "Well, this is where I will put it, and this is where it will end up. It would be a good idea to make sure nothing vital is in the way." Had I only known......
My DIY accident was a doozy. I was at the top of a 10 ft ladder, painting our bed room. I didn't have the ladder wedged and when I turned the ladder tipped over and I broke my pelvis in 5 places, my wrist in 2. It was a 6 month recovery. Even worse, I've lost my ladder privleges. Moral of the story... Use a spotter if you're climbing ladders.
Feel better soon!
Wishing you a speedy recovery...
Happy New Year..
Get better soon! I am always getting hurt - I am left-handed and most of the tools are more difficult for me to use - so I get cut with saws, burned with glue guns, bruised with bumping in to wood, etc. I also try to do everything very fast and need to learn to slow down when doing projects and enjoy the moment! Painting is usually my first choice - because I rarely get hurt - just covered with paint! Lol
My worst diy accident was stabbing myself in the tigh when I was laying carpet for a friend in the 1980s. I still have the scar.
Oh my goodness! Feel better, broken ribs hurt!🤕 We can wait. My body is covered with scars from mishaps over the years, but nothing worth noting. Take care and let people wait on you!
I am very clumsy so of course I get injured almost doing nothing. Most recently I refinished a desk and had to take it outside to strip the black paint off. Walking out carrying the desk I caught my foot on the door jam and fell - the desk helped me not go all the way down but I had bruises from my belly button to my ankle and ended up needing to use a cane as I tore a tendon in my foot.
Hoping you all are better and have a happy and creative new year!
I hope you heal fast and feel better soon.
I was using a using a heat gun to melt the glue while installing a vinyl plank floor. I reached for it and burned my arm as it touched the tip! OUCH! I also tore my rotator cuff by reinjuring an old wound when I remodeled my sisters kitchen!
