Yardstick Crate for Mason Jars

1 Material
My husband found some clearance rack Mason jars ( they were misprints) so I was inspired to make some sort of holder for them .
three of the six clearance jars
My husband scored a great value! these were misprints from the factory. I was thrilled!
I had some extra yardsticks (they cost $.99)
My husband helped me cut up the yardsticks and some other leftover wood
Assembly
We used tiny finishing nails because I was afraid the wood would split and hubby helped by holding the corners square while I hammered
I decided it looked too NEW
add some age
I found some left over stain and just wiped some on with an old rag to make the wood look a little older
added some faux flower picks
Wanted a simple statement on the kitchen island
All done. I love it and it took less than an hour.

LOVE IT ! But how many yard sticks to make this ? And what's the measurements of the cuts ? This would make a great crayon/marker caddy or teachers gift. Thanks for the great idea :)

they are lovely colors. Would like to find those on sale or discontinued too!
    • they were supposed to be 100 year anniversary jars 1913-2013 but they were printed 1913-1915. Who cares? Not me!! $.35 each is a bargain!!

Some pasta sauce brands come in mason jars that can be reused. Not that I would ever serve my family jar sauce! Lol! Hey jar sauce allows for more craft time! Love the project. Thanks for sharing!
