I'd like to cover imperfections and Damaged Sheet Rock on walls, help!

What techniques can cover imperfections on walls after wall paper has been removed? Some of the paper from the sheet rock has also been torn from wall.

Use drywall patching compound to patch the damage and imperfections. Let dry overnight, sand smooth, prime, and paint.
Cover the wall with shiplap or beadboard
I agree, Shiplap is the way to go.

I have definitely been through this with wallpaper ! And i agree with the first comment ,
If you want smooth, drywall repair, then spackle. If you want texture, shiplap or beadboard.
You can get dry wall compound at Lowe's , that is where i got it when i had that veary same problem . Hope that helps .
You can also do get what is called Texture wall paint in a medium or high Texture , this is all so at Lowe's , I have 3 of my rooms done in it but if you get this ..you have to use a painting roller especially for this product .
