Painting your own botanical look cork coasters...
You can make some really cute coasters with simple square tiles from the local home supply store. While there be sure to get some cork pieces or even table protectors to adhere to the bottoms to protect your furniture. You can mod podge pictures, beautiful designed paper napkins, photographs, or even order a few monograms for them (ie etsy) for small amt and really make them 'fancy'. Thats just a few ideas with the tiles. Be sure to get some spray sealant to protect your work (water proof), a very easy and quick step that will make them last. Don't forget to pad the bottom . I was also going to tell you about the blue jean pockets. I love that idea as well.
Have fun, whatever you decide to use.
small terra cotta plant saucers, paint the outside and top edge, put stick on felt on bottom. terra cotta absorbs water/sweat from glasses. Paint pens work great for the top edge work.
