Foam Core and Poster Board Marquee Angel

Marquee is all the rage these days, and there are a lot of ways to make them DIY Style. I was able to make my Marquee Angel for only $1, because I had most of the supplies on hand. It was a super easy and fun project that anyone can do. Plus you don't have to make an angel...you could use the same concept for any shape you want or make letters or numbers.
Place a small die cut angel onto projector and trace larger image onto foam core. Cut out shape with exacto knife.
Using a projector and an angel die cut I traced my desired shape onto foam core and cut it out with a utility knife.
Poke holes into foam core and add lights.
I poked holes evenly (I just eyeballed it) around the angel, then added the lights
Finish off edges with strips of poster board and hot glue.
Once all the lights were installed I cut stripes of white poster board and used hot glue to secure them around the edges of the angel. Then I mounted it on some boards and placed it on my mantel!
