How To Create A Comfy- Cozy Guest Room
It’s that time of year again, when guests spend more time in our house and memories are made! It can be stressful, but it is also a blessing. It is fun to have the company, but it can also make you feel self conscious about your home and its shortcomings. I always believe that time spent together (even if it’s stressful) is worth the investment of time.
This is why I decided to come up with a list of things you can do to make your guest feel welcome. You’ll want to give them a room that is their own, whether you have a room that is designed to be a guest room or you have to scoot the kids onto the family room floor. If you make it warm and welcoming, they won’t even notice the slightly sagging sofa or a bit of dust on the shelf.
Make sure to provide a soft throw that they can curl up with while reading a good book or warming up if your house is cooler than they are used to. (This happens in our house all the time!)
Set a clock on the night stand, just in case they need a way to wake up in the morning. (Unless you life in my house, and you don’t stand a chance of sleeping in!)
