Valentine Garland From Old Jeans

3 Materials
Do you have a pair of old jeans or an old jean shirt? Don't throw them out. Turnthem into Valentine decor.
Step 1: Grab a pair of old jeans or an old shirt Cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
Step 2: Cut out all of the jean hearts that you want. It will depend on how long you want your garland to be. Now it is time to decorate the jean hearts.
Step 3: I created two types of hearts: one has a button and one has an arrow.
Step 4: For the button heart - I used red embroidery thread to outline the heart. You could also use regular thread. Then I glued a vintage button. In some cases I used two buttons.
Step 5: For the one with the arrow, I used a back stitch to make the arrow and the top and bottom parts of the arrow.

Once I had them all completed, I decided that they needed a little stiffness to them so I cut out some card stock hearts for the back.

Step 6:
Step 7: Once you have the card stock cut out, apply glue to the heart.
Step 8: Place glue on the card stock and then place jean heart onto and smooth out.
Step 9: Now it is time to hole punch the top of the heart. This is a little tough to go through the jean material and the card stock, but I did it.

Now it is time to thread them onto the twine.
