Could you post a photo of the offending ugly mobile home so that we could at least see if we agree to the degree of uglyness you have accused it of having. Then we will be able to put our tuppence to your dilemia. Lol!!

Retro is so fashionable now! I'd play it up. You may only need a bit of paint to coordinate the colors, but it's hard to say without seeing photos.

In earlier years I lived in mobile homes and figure yours has dark, inexpensive paneling. This paints beautifully and makes quite a differenc. Choose a theme and go for it...in my mind I see country industria: looks good, works for men and women. Shop craft stores (hobby lobby is a good one), thrift and second-hand stores, and estate and garage sales. Sounds like a fun adventure to me...wish I could help you!

I have been trying to update our ugly mobile home. Have had some success with stores specifically designed for mobile homes. They have a website you can get ideas, http://triplehmobilehomeparts.com/ .  ; Hope that helps.

Gut it out if needed, you will have a blank slate. None of the walls on the inside are load bearing if it is a single wide. Sounds like fun to me. You can make it your own

That pretty much what we have decided. I know I'm going to keep a couple of things like the cast iron tub and some lighting. Pretty cool looking! DIY any tips on painting a tub?
