This is an inexpensive way to make a very beautiful, expensive looking scarf, decorative pillow or wallhanging. Printed scarves also make great gifts so cook up a bunch of them and give them to your friends for Christmas or Birthdays.

Supplies needed:
Make sure your fabric is 100% Silk
Check the tags on your silk ties. It should say 100% Silk or this technique won't work.
Lay out your ties
Roll the whole thing up.
Set the print.
Here's the habotai silk scarf, printed. Habotai silk is a shiny silk with a denser weave which will show your prints better than the silk chiffon.
This piece was white silk chiffon.
Some of the colors didn't show up at all, however, I really like the pops of red from one of the funkier ties.
