How to reuse sad irons? (heavy metal bottom of the old fashioned iron)

Any one have ideas of how to use old sad irons? I'm looking for ideas...

Sad irons are very very heavy!
I use them as book ends
A book end would work but I have bookends already. I have 9 sad iron that I once used as weights to weight down my handmamde papers.
Decorate bottoms and add photos
Doorstops or put in corners on the floor or low shelf in groups of 3 as conversation piece(s) esp in kitchen or by fireplace.
