How to reuse sad irons? (heavy metal bottom of the old fashioned iron)

I'd love to see a picture for a better sense, but how about making a vintage wall display and hanging them up with a command hook on the wall?

I use them as book ends

Decorate bottoms and add photos

Doorstops or put in corners on the floor or low shelf in groups of 3 as conversation piece(s) esp in kitchen or by fireplace.
