How can I organize all these wires on my desk, it looks messy!

Oh dear...I need input too...so let's hear some handy comments!

I've used some velcro zip ties or just some twist-ties from the bread packaging to hold the cords together after I've lined them up nicely. It then will look like one bg cord. The twist ties you can also thread thru the grill (vents) on the back of the monitor/TV and use it to hold any extra cords on the back of the monitor/TV so they are out of sight and off the surface of the desk or TV stand. The twist ties can also twist easily onto a thumb tack if you don't mind little holes under or on the back your furniture. I've also used the extra bread ties to color code cords. Twist a yellow to each end of a cable. Know that the yellow cable is for the DVD player to TV. The Orange is the Cable box ect. You can also color the tips easily with a marker or a dab of paint. I will even stick a paper with to the back of the entertainment center or my desk with a list of what each color represents.

I saved up my paper towel & toilet tissue cardboard centers. It didn't take too long before I had a large stash! I quickly covered some of them with contact paper. Disconnect one cord from the power supply and fold it back and forth small enough that it fits inside the tube -about 5 inches or so, leaving the plug extended from one end and the other still connected to your equipment. Viola! Wrapped, out-of-the-way, untangled & quasi-attractive. Label them if you want but it's pretty easy to tell what's going where. Use the longer paper towel tubes for fat cords that can only be folded a few times or combine two or more tubes.

Okay I took mine and loosely braided them together. Or you can get corner guards [ home supply store ] easy to cut and you can channel your cords threw them. Another way is to get narrow pcp pipe 3 way pipe joint paint and slide them through the 3 openings or just get a regular piece of pcp pipe in a 1 inch opening. A friend of mine wrapped her line together using ribbon.

Depending on the circumference of the cords once bundled together (w/Velcro zip ties or twist ties) into what looks like one large cord (as Miki above suggested) - you could use a cover used to hide the chain on hanging light fixtures. It would probably be best to make your own since those pre-made might be shorter or narrower than what you need. They use Velcro to close the material over the chain - cords in this case - and hen it is scrunched (I suppose scrunched is considered more decorative). You could choose a color of material that is comparable to the desk/wall - for a camo effect - or any color or design of your choosing - whatever look you're going for. Measure the circumference of your bundled cords and the length you need - cut your material accordingly with a little extra width and length so it fits loose enough to scrunch if desired - then either sew the Velcro onto each side (or use the kind that has the adhesive on the back - tucking edges in before adhering - then wrap those annoying bad boys with your beautiful cover and scrunch - or don't scrunch. Color coding the cords is a great idea also.
