Little Doggy Stairs

My sweet Scottie Gus is just a little too short to jump up onto my bed.
Although I would love to get a mini workout in by lifting him up every time, I decided to make him his own mini steps.
I took a quick trip to Michael's and picked up two crates. 1 regular size, and 1 half size. You can get 2 half crates if you have a dog smaller than Gus who may need more steps.
Now little Gussy can get up on the bed, in the car and onto the couch all by himself. Guess I need to get a real gym membership now...

This is a great project but I worry about the dogs nails getting caught between the slats & causing injuries. I won't even buy loop carpet because of this concern. Wouldn't it be better to cover the tops with something to prevent any possible injury?

How did you attach the crate when stacked? Glue? I love the idea. I have a large plastic crate covered with a towel so my chihuahua does not fall through. Looks tacky but love my kids so tolerate it.

Awesome idea, 1 of my pugs can't jump up on the bed, she'll love this. Added bonus is it matches my bedroom décor. Thanks so much for sharing.

Nifty idea! I've bought "dog steps" and they refuse to use them. This might work and cost a lot less. Thanks!
