Love it! How long will the branches remain green without water?

I do the same thing for fresh garland around my front door outside, and inside on a half wall. We cut our own Christmas tree at a local pine tree farm and they are glad to get rid of the extra branches that they trim for customers. I measure the lengths I need and get to work wiring the branches together. I add the strings of lights and hang/lay my wonderfully smelling creation. Easy, low cost and gorgeous!

As long as it's hung outdoors it will stay green indefinitely as long as you don't have a southern exposure.
