As you can see chanda and I love anything that has to do with recycling- just look at how we started our business with our side of the road treasure. As many of you know this week we are busy prepping for an event!! So we had a ton of extra bottles!

So with that we saw this awesome pin and couldn’t help but think this would make for a cute valentines vase!

So here is out stab!

Supplies:

Birch Bark (online or at Michaels)
Bottles
Twine
Flowers:)

We had many leftover bottles from making our own balsamic reduction for the Rotary Ball’s salads, so we soaked off the labels…

Next soak your birch to make it pliable!

Now you can have a friend hold the birch while you tie (hahah or you can try Chanda’s technique)

Add a flower or two!

All done! So cute!

Make a few, add a cute tag that say’s “I love you” or “xoxo” and you got your sweets a homemade keepsake that will certainly last longer than the flowers:)

Did you use a sealer on the birch bark? Maybe since it is commercially purchased it doesn't need it? I have oodles of birch in my woods and bark every where!

Why are these called "planters" ? Is that a name for vases that I've never heard of?
