Is washi tape removable?

Is it removable? Will it leave tape residue?

    Its removable but still leaves a bit of residue if you leave it on for a long time. You can usually fix that up with a paste of coconut oil and baking soda.

    Yes. I've put it on the front of shelves in my son's closet and then labeled the washi tape strip with a regular label maker.

    it is removeable--just another name for masking tape like painters and DIYers used for years.

    Kay is right that washi tape is very similar to masking tape in that it has a sticky backing. The differences are that the width of the rolls are much narrower, and the frontside is generally more of a thin delicate papery texture, as opposed to the more robust texture of masking tape. Washi tape is intended to be used as a decorative trim in craft or design applications, rather than purely functional masking tape.
