How can I update concrete steps?

I have pre-formed concrete steps (4 tiers) leading to my front door. They look very pourous and have a rough surface. Do any of you DIYers know how I can update these? If you have pictures, that would be a plus. Many thanks.

I have the same steps it is on my project list to do this summer, my thoughts are stone veneer for the risers and paint sides and top

You can go to Lowe's and get concrete paint and a very special roller cover to paint with and it gives texture to the paint and completely changes the look and feel of the concrete. It is available in all different colors. We used Aztec, which is kind of a sand color. Pick your color. Tell them you want the one with the pattern roller. Do it in one direction, when it is not hot or wet or going to rain for 24 hours. Once it is dry, don't try to touch it up. Do it right the first time and sit back and enjoy your new steps. It give it a different finish than paint. It is thick so don't try to thin it. Use right out of the bucket and stir it good. If you were in Cincinnati, I would come do it for you. We did ours several years ago and it is great. Guy up the street did his in white and it is excellent too. That is the way to fix your steps, or even concrete walk way. Be sure it is clean first.

It stands up perfectly to snow and freezing temps. We have them too. Think it comes in about a 3 gallon bucket. Ask at Lowe's. I forget the exact name, but they will know. Think the bucket is black. I was 75 when we did ours, not a big deal. Wear old clothes and throw them away when you are done, usually shoes too. Good luck. We get snow that lasts a month and nothing bothers that paint and it fills the roughness.

I agree with Fred. Thanks Fred-I live in a condo in Florida. I have a patio I wanted to tile but the homeowners asso. would not let me tile. This sounds like the way to go.
