You can also large space saving bags that are vacuum sealed.
Depends on how high your bed is from the floor. Baskets that are wicker or plastic. I like the see through plastic totes. Try the dollar store and sales at Canadian Tire for various colours and sizes and lids. Good luck.
You can purchase risers to give you a higher "under-bed" storage area. Or, and I love these, you can build (or buy) a platform with drawers and/or cubbies.

when you go to a flea market or yard sale looking for them five shelf bookcases. I painted my grandson last name, put casters on it and door puller
i guess I'm lazy I don't like having to remove everything to vacuum under the bed. I store two suitcases there and that's it.
There storage canisters with wheels to roll under the bed. I have 3 of them under a twin bed. They hold plenty with locking lids. Check Walmart... :)
I had a few of those big plastic bags with zippers that bedding/coverlets/quilts come in..I keep my shoes in one..my husband's shoes in one..and they are slid under the perspective sides of the bed.
You can use them for clothing stored for the season...Christmas stuff...they are handy.
