How do I fix a wooden door after the dog chew a piece off ?

It is about 2 inches big - but he didn't chew through. Thank you!

    Posting a photo would help, but can you sand it down since it did not go through?

    You can use wood patch and paint...I just repaired some shelves taken from an old table that had venee removed and they were gouged with chisels...a mess. You're never know it. If you have hardwood doors that are stained wood...I've never tried doing that. I would just paint the door the same color as the wall so that it would not be obvious.

    You can use some wood filler and patch it sand it down and then paint it, there are some wood fillers that you can stain over just have to research and see which ones!

    You can also use auto body filler the fill any voids.

    There's a two-part epoxy wood filer that works well for filling holes like this. You can essentially rebuild the missing materials with the epoxy, then sand, prime & paint.
