"Ruby" Red Antique Oak Dresser

We bought this dresser and got a phenomenal deal at only $40! It needed tons of love. I started out wanting to restore the top and chalk pain/wax the entire base...until the hubs convinced me to restore the drawers as well. As grouchy as I was to start those, I love the results. He loved it so much he said it was definitely a keeper as soon as the red paint dried! Please check out my blog post for details onc the restoration and painting process!
The "before-ish" pic. Of course I didn't remember to take decent before pictures!
The sobering front drawers. Yeesh.
After some heavy duty elbow grease! I thought I was almost home!
After the hubs dropped the suggestion and several hours and maybe a crying session later...
Ta-dah!!!
And here is Ruby in her forever home...ours!

This has got to be one of my favorite piece of red furniture. I loved the balance of wood and the red paint. Perfect.
