DIY PARTY BACKDROP: MAKE IT IN MINUTES!

Once I got my color scheme of pink and blue together for the twincesses gymnastics birthday party, I knew I needed a big impact back drop to bring in those colors. There are so many different shades of blue and pink and when I found the table clothes for the room I couldn’t find that exact shade in a backdrop. So I decided to use the actual table clothes to make the DIY party backdrop , that way all the colors would be consistent and I would get the big impact I was looking for.
1) Find a space in your home where you can spread out the table cloths and hang them with push pins.
2) Choose the length your need. Because the backdrop was going behind a table I didn’t need it to be floor length so I hung the tablecloths horizontally.

3) Choose your prominent color. I used two table clothes for the project, because the back drop was going behind a pink table I decided to use blue as the more prominent color and put that tablecloth on top.
4) Make sure your two table clothes are hung together evenly and start cutting vertical strips through both tableclothes with your scissors. Mine were about 2 inches wide. I tried to cut as straight as possible but it didn’t always work out, and the great thing about this project is that it is very forgiving with those imperfections.

5) Just keep cutting until you get to the other end. This backdrop takes no time at all! Check out the link below for more details about making your own birthday party backdrop!
