Tip: Faux Paint Treatments Are an Easy Fix for a Boring Wall!

Brick and wood slat walls are very popular. They seem to never sizzle out of style. So I did two walls that are adjacent in a large room. One I did a faux brick with just a kitchen sponge and a couple of paint colors. The other wall I did a faux wooden slat wall with just some dark chestnut colored paint, painters tape right on the light exsisting paint color. The trick to the faux painted walls is to play with the dark and light paints.

The faux brick is very easy to do, I hung shelves on this wall , shelves are an ideal way to be able to change out décor with the seasons

This faux wood slat wall is also easy......the existing wall was a light Vaseline color so I just taped off the "indentations" where the wood would be separated at and just painted the whole wall when it was completely dry  pulled the tape off. It is a great fix with high impact and the best part is little or no cost .
