Often the big box home improvement stores donate discontinued or returned items to the ReStores! Or when people remodel, they can donate things there as well. You can find all sorts of fun and interesting things and cheap! Its super cool for small tile projects!

Restore is the Habitat for Humanity thrift store that sells used home items. I recently scored Plantation shutters for $10 a pair! Most larger communities have a store in their area .

the restore is a real place- one i sorely miss. the nearest one in over an hour away. the restore take donations of gently used household fixtures- lighting fixtures, beds, fencing and posts, sinks and windows. fans etc. pavers and bricks...if you have a small project try there first for items, or if you need to patch something like a hole in a wall- they might have the right sized piece of drywall, you pay for the piece not the 4 x 8 ft sheet.

The Restore is owned and managed by your local Habitat for Humanity. They accept donations of building materials, appliances and other household items. They then resale these to the public to make some money for their builds, helps the community buy items at a good price and also, keeps these items out of your landfill.
