What color paint would you use on bedroom walls with a ivory & brass?

What other colors are in the room? Carpeting,bedding,and furniture?

I love using mint green

I would say a soft, warm cream, slightly off white to compliment brass

I like a soft aqua. I have cream walls in my French sleeping chamber. I hung soft aqua silk drapes. The look is amazing!

Medium sage and/or a light rusty peach. My bedroom furniture is also ivory and brass. I can't paint the walls because I rent. I use these two colors in my bedding, curtains and other accent items. They look great together.

The rule of thumb when decorating any room is never use more then 3 different colors in a room or your room will look to busy! When I decorate any wall in any room of my house I also take a close look at what is in the room first. Everyone decorates their rooms with things they really like so take your wall color pallet from the colors already in your room that you already like, be it a pillow or vase, a lamp, a rug, a bedspread, etc. Once you figure out what is the most dominate color already in that room or there is less obvious color in it that you really like then you can either take the item to the paint store with you to find a matching color or you can just go to the paint store and get a bunch of color chips to bring home and compare with your items at home. Once you decide on a color go buy a sample jar of paint first. Paint that looks good in the daytime might not look so good at night so it's best if you try it on your wall with your things for a day or two before you fully commit to a gallon or two of paint. I usually just get a bunch of paint chips that I think might look good with my décor, bring them home and tape the chips to my walls making sure to space them on the wall to get the best view of each chip. I stand back and study each one marking each chip with a pen that I think I like best but not taking the others off the wall yet. Since colors look different in different light you'll want to see what these colors look like throughout a day and night Then I take another good long look at them in the twilight hours, full nighttime and early morning hours and again in the late afternoon. By then you will know which color or colors work best for you and your décor. Once you pick the one you like best it's off to buy your paint. You'll also be sure your going to love your new walls once you get them painted. Hope this helps. One more thing always keep your floor color and texture in mind when your picking out wall colors but if your other décor items go well with your floor then your new wall color will as well.
