Faux Flowers Six Ways - #1 Felt Flower Garland

It is almost spring and I am ready for flowers. I created a little garland for my mantle. I think it will be part of an Easter vignette. These flowers are made of felt and Dollar Tree Pom Poms. I am using the Sizzix Big Shot but you can also cut felt flowers by hand and do this project as well. There are lots of free flower templates to download and use.
Use the Sizzix Big Shot to cut flowers from coordinating colors of felt. Remove flowers from felt. I save all the pieces that I don't need for this project in a small plastic box. It comes in handy to have these precut felt pieces every now and then.
This is one of the dies being cut from blue felt. I really like some of these smaller dies to use up my scrap pieces of felt. The two die sets that I used are Flower Layers #3 Big Die and the largest flower from the Sizzix Framelits die set.
From the largest flower, I removed 1 petal.
I added a dot of felt glue.
I closed the hole by placing one petal on top of the other. I used a clip to hold it in place until it was dry.
Remove 1 petal from the remaining flowers.
Close the hole with felt glue and clip them until dry.
I added felt glue between each layer.
Add a pom pom to the center.
I used my Crop a dile to add holes to add jute twine.
It is pretty simple and quick to create. I love that they are completely movable on the twine.
This tissue paper flower will be in a future tutorial.
I am ready for spring! The felt that I bought was 33 cents a sheet. This is a pretty budget friendly project.
