Trash to Treasure Dining Table Makeover

I found an old table on the curb. The table was in pretty rough shape. From the car, it was beautiful. As I got closer it looked -not good. When I was loading it into the car, I considered leaving it on the curb. It was that bad. Thank goodness I remembered my trash picking rule- Bring it home. If it is not good, just put it back on the curb.
The top of the table was badly warped and damaged beyond repair. When I got it out of the car, I pulled it off with one hand and immediately put it back in the trash. The joints were loose but fixable. Pieces of the legs were loose, they looked like tiny pie wedges again, fixable.  There were scratches and dings, all fixable.
I tightened the leg bolts and Big Daddy added corner brackets to the corners and the base is now super sturdy and doesn’t wobble at all.
I filled the cracks and dings with wood putty and glued the “pie wedges” back to the table legs. Then I sanded the table base, primed and painted it.
The table top is furniture grade maple plywood. I lightly sanded the top and rounded the edges of the table top. Then I applied one coat of Minwax gel stain in Antique Oak. I applied one coat of white wash for a weathered wood look.
