In this most fun Doing it with jason tutorial, I walk you down the street of rustic shelving. After watching, you should very easily be able to make your very own eye catching pipe shelf. Check out our other videos as wellšŸ˜€
Pipe fittings from the big box stores are relatively inexpensive. And in the video i show you the most economical version of the pipe shelf.
After you grab some 2x4's go ahead and sand them smooth with 120 grit sand paper.
Next, grab your fittings and sort them out according to the layout in the video.
Here is a list of the parts that you will need and all are 1/2" diameter
4- 4" floor flanges
6- 1/2" tees
2- 90 deg street elbows
10- 1/2" x 12" nipples
4- 1/2" x 4" nipples
6- 1/2" caps
12 1/2" hole tube straps

Here is the layout that shows how all of the pieces will be connected
This is how you will attach the wood to the pipe. A lot of others use floor flanges, but using the tube straps saves you a ton of money and time! Just looking out for ya!
Here is a close up of the floor flange and shelf being attached in the up right position
And finally here i am letting you know something spectacular!
Here is what it looks like all done in the space where it was designed for, I also made the 2 pieces on the outside..what a fun project!
