Easy DIY New Sew Curtain

We've been slowly but steadily working on our kitchen off and on for probably the past year...I bought this fabric a very long time ago and this past President's Day Weekend decided to finally make the kitchen curtains!

I like to use fabric glue because it is easy and I can work on a project in the dining or living room and not be stuck out in the workshop. These curtains were no different!

I measured the width needed and the desired length. I cut the fabric, used the fabric glue to make a 1" seam all the way around, then folded over the top seam a couple inches and glued just the very edge of it down to create a pocket for the curtain rod.

For the bottom, I folded the curtain in half from side to side (as opposed to top to bottom) to find the center of each side. Then I accordian-folded the bottom up 5 times, adding a drop of glue inbetween each fold. I then measured the long piece of the black ribbon, glued it down and around the top as well as around the folds to the back of the curtain, then tied a bow and glued that on at the top of the fold.

My curtains are only single sided as we have blinds in the window and don't draw them up all the way so the back is always hidden from our yard, but if you want to make double sided, you would just glue the 2 pieces together first, then proceed with making the seams and so on.

Quick, simple, looks great, and makes a great impact in our kitchen!
