These pretty tiles are made from the disposable aluminum cookie sheets found at the party store! Tiles are cut from the cookie sheets, a pattern is embossed on them, and they are painted with acrylic metallic paints. Tutorial includes 12 free downloadable patterns!
This is one example of what you can make with these tiles. Some of my readers have made backsplashes, stair risers and even ceilings!
These pretty tiles can be used for back splashes, walls, ceilings, and much more!
Once the aluminum is cut to size, lay the pattern over top and emboss using the end of a paintbrush.
Embossing is easy! Lay the pattern over the metal and push the design in with knitting needle. Then lay the metal over a towel and carefully emboss using the end of a paintbrush.
Spray project with metal primer, and then paint with acrylic metallic paints. Using black primer gives it a deeper look.
Spray paint the entire embossed project with black primer, then fill in with metallic acrylic paints in bright colors.

It says lay the pattern over top but in the picture the pattern must be under the aluminum as shown? and where do you get the patterns?
