Kitchen Pantry Decor

Our kitchen pantry was dreary and ugly. With just a few dollars and some leftover paint we did an upgrade that has made a huge difference!
This is what the pantry looked liked before. A little dark and definitely cluttered. The first thing I did was to remove anything that I hadn't used in the last 6 months such as extra pots and pans, seasonal decor items, empty mason jars, etc and moved them to the basement.
After clearing away the food from the shelves, the back wall was stenciled with Cutting Edge Stencils Augusta Tile Stencil. The 12" square fit just right between the shelving. The wall color was pretty neutral so I didn't change that. The paint (leftover from our when we painted our kitchen) was applied with a small roller.
When the paint was dry it was time to organize a bit. I grouped like items together such as baking supplies, canned goods, etc.
Canned items were stored on a wire rack to save shelf space. Cereals were emptied from their boxes and put into large storage containers. All in all we have twice the space we had before and it looks so nice! More tips on the blog!

My question was .. how long did it stay neat and organized ? We all have disorderly pantries ( and closets...) we reorganize and are generally back to square one in no time !
