How can I keep lizards off my porch?

I know they are not supposed to hurt you, but I just can stand them. Snakes are worse of course, but I don't want to see either one of them. Help???

    they eat bugs. i had a lot but cats did many in. now one brings them in to me and he doesn't hurt tnem i pick them up and relocate them.. baby ones bite bit.. it does.t hurt , big ones just lie there, i hang on to them tho and take them to front yard. be glad you have them and they are intertainig if you are sitting in yard watchin , i'm old and and a woman . so don't dispair. be glad you have them snakes NO !!!

      I'm not trying to be sarcastic in any way here...I do have them everywhere, even when I plant in the Spring, they are deep in my planters and I am careful digging. They are really fun to watch actually. I have never, ever once had one come anywhere near me or my husband in all these years. They are harmless. The broad headed Skink is the one that will bite if threatened. I can understand the apprehension though :)

    Have heard crushed eggshells somewhat deter them.. Also heard if you have them and frogs, there may not be snakes around...Just heard...not sure
