I go through a lot of vinegar, I use it to wash my fresh produce (just a splash in the large bowl of water let the produce sit for a few minutes.), my bath towels come out soft and fluffy from the dryer when I put it in the softener dispenser of the washer are just a few ways to use it.

Don't use as much detergent (dermatologist told me that most people use too much and will not rinse out, to see if you are using too much soap, just put an item in a sink or pan of water and swish around, you will get soapy water or discolored water if you cloths are not rinsed completely) and use the vinegar in the softener dispenser or how you add liquid fabric softener.

I mix vinegar with Dawn dish soap in a spray bottle, about half and half. Spray in the toilet bowl, bathroom or kitchen sink, tub and shower enclosure. It cuts lime scale and soap buildup in seconds! Let sit 30 seconds and wipe off. Rinse with a seaparate damp cloth, and dry fully. so shiney! but slippery if you are cleaning the shower so caution is needed there.

Recently I tried a recipe of vinegar, baking soda, and Castile soap for cleaning grout. It worked great using a grout brush to scrub. I've also seen recipes for natural weed killer made from vinegar, salt and soap that I want to try. Has anyone had success with that?

I do the citrus peel and vinegar trick for the best grease cutter ever. Pack a jar with peels from whatever citrus you want then pour in vinegar to the top. Seal and let sit for 2 weeks, flipping to over every other day. After 2 weeks pour into a spray bottle and add the same amount of water.

There is Vinegar and Vinegar..I use the 4% Industrial strength to soak paint brushes in...sable ones..worth their weight in $$ .keeps them soft...as a kid, my Mom rinsed my hair after a home shampoo..to keep it soft, glistening, and tangle free..it was long..for this she used Table Vinegar..I continued that for many years..no chemicals on my scalp..also kept any dandruff in check... Vinegar was also recommended to me for sterilizing medical equipment, by the nursing staff who checked up on me from time to time when I became an aged care giver...and then a tsp of table vinegar in your pot of simmering water makes perfect poached eggs...for removal from the water with a slot spoon, right on to your waiting toast..buttered or not..all done in 2 minutes..Vinegar in 4 quart bottles always on our shopping list..just never want to run out of it...and then there is Organic Apple Cider Vinegar to aid in digestion...1 tsp..in a small glass of water, about a half hour after a meal...and your meal that may be "revisiting" digests beautifully..and there are nutrients in apple cider vinegar not available anywhere else ...just to verify the wonders of good vinegars, and there are many, not just apple..I did a search and found this: http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/09/16/apple-cider-vinegar_n_3922569.html

To sanitize countertops and other surfaces, spray with white vinegar, then peroxide (in either order), wait 5 minutes, then wipe off with a paper towel or clean cloth.

    Important points:

    1. Peroxide has to stay in its brown bottle because it loses its strength when exposed to light. Just take the sprayer part from a spray bottle and screw it right onto your peroxide bottle. It will fit. Some stores sell peroxide in brown spray bottles. (You can just put the vinegar in a spray bottle.)

    2. Don't mix vinegar and peroxide together in a closed container. Always keep them in separate bottles. Why? Because together they form a chemical called peracetic acid, which can irritate the skin or the respiratory system. It's OK if they're sprayed on a open surface and sit there for a few minutes, but putting them together in a closed container can be dangerous.
