A French Table From Top to Bottom!

This little French table is one of a pair that I found in the thrift store a few months ago. One of the tables was missing its bottom piece but I grabbed them anyway. I assumed that I would have a new bottom cut and install it.
I took the tables home and there they sat until I was able to begin the makeover. You can see the one on the left is missing its bottom. I postponed working on the tables due to the missing bottom and the extra work that would need.
Finally, I decided to tackle the project and began. This is when I realized that the bottom was actually there all along! It had come loose at some point and had shifted to the very top of the interior. You can see it in this picture, kind of jammed up against the top. I pried it down and back into place...perfect!
Now to the top of the table, I sanded it back and was thrilled to see its gorgeous grain make an appearance. I knew then that it would be a beauty!

The creamy white paint is a classic color for this classic table. New glass pulls gave it some glam!
