Cardboard Castle Mirror

Make a castle mirror with a dollar store mirror and cardboard.

Simple cardboard and metallic paints were used to make the frame of this ornate Castle Mirror fit for Belle's new castle. I cut the leaves while watching TV and it made the process much easier!

Watch how I put it together here.

I used a mint green (Americana Acrylic) for the patina around the edges and an old kitchen sponge. E-6000 glue worked perfectly to keep it all together.

This is a version with less leaves.

Hi, Could biscuit joiner biscuits be used in lieu of cardboard? Would the shape of the biscuits be similar enough to the shapes that you cut out? Thank you, Valerie

Loved this & will definitely be making. BUT, did you diy the gorgeous, stencilded burgundy colored doors the mirror in 1 photo is hanging on? I've been wanting to do that project for a very long time but have been stumped. Thank you, Mark!
