I have been searching for a small lamp for my dining room area for a little bit more light. I came across the base of the thrift store. Then I was searching for a one-of-a-kind shade and couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for so I made one myself.

Gather materials above.

Then I started by tying a piece of twine around the lampshade. I just kept wrapping and dabbing glue as I went!! To be honest it took quite a few hours just to get it wrapped nicely as the twine moved a bit but if you keep dabbing the superglue it should stay in place.

After I was done I glued on the seashells. I actually used monkey glue for the sea shells because the other glue was not working.

Finished project!!
It came out so adorable!
Suggested materials:
  • Lamp base, twine, super glue, shells, monkey glue   (The lamp of those purchased at a thrift store, lampshade at Walmart, the glue and Twine I already had at home. The sea shells were from Michaels.)
