My Favorite Custom Creation of 2013

The first piano I ever painted ended up opening a lot of doors for me. For that reason alone, I chose it as my Favorite Custom Creation of 2013! Oh...it's pretty stunning to look at too! Enjoy the pics and click over to the blog to read more!
How dreamy is this? Creamy in color with ornate details from top to bottom!
Dark wax was perfect for accenting the details and adding dimension.
I didn't distress this piano at all. With all the recessed areas, there was plenty of opportunity to accent with distressing.
Check out those legs!! They are captivating!

Is this a regular upright piano, and if so, does the paint have an effect on the quality of tone?

I fell in love the minute I saw that piano! My Grandmother's player piano we had, was sold by my "step-mother" without our permission and I've been looking for one for 50 years! That's so beautiful...
