How do I clean burnt on coffee off the hot plate of my Coffee Maker?

    DON"T use any kind of scouring pad. I used a green Scotch Brite pad on mine and the coating came off. It got hot spots and didn't heat right. Had to buy a new one. Lesson learned.

    I;ve had lots of experience with this . Never had any problem with just letting a wel dish cloth sit on it. Wipe it off every so often and wet the cloth again. Could take as long as a day just cleaning the cloth and wiping the plate. I've never had a problem this way.

    I clean mine while still hot I wipe it off with just water and paper towel. Try that and over time with a little elbow grease it will all come off just be careful not to burn yourself.
