VINTAGE RUSTIC DIY WEDDING & PARTY Decor

3 Materials
I made a lot of eclectic wedding signs and props for my son's wedding and reception. Some pieces were vintage items I bought at Estate Sales, some were repurposed into something totally different. I wanted to show you a few ideas you could use at a wedding, engagement party, birthday party, etc. Of course you may have to change the wording on your own signs but... this may give you a few fun ideas - Go ahead, get creative!
WEDDING Sign made on vintage barn wood
The sunset wedding was held on the country club patio. My vintage chair held the WEDDING sign at the start of the winding walkway.
DIY Wedding Programs and Fans
These were the DIY programs I made for the ceremony. I printed them on heavy cardstock and glued them onto large popsicle type sticks, then I tied a small twine bow at the base of the program. These were also meant to be used a a fan in case the weather was too warm. On the back I had printed "I am a FAN of Taylor & Samantha"
Vintage Suitcase holds Programs & Bubbles
I bought an awesome vintage suitcase at an Estate Sale along with some old linens! This was a perfect place to hold all the programs and ceremony bubbles. My two step-daughters passed them out along the walkway as guests arrived.
My pallet wood sign along the walkway
Just one of the walkway signs I made for guests to see as they made their way to the patio.
Wedding sign just for fun!
Guests seemed to like this walkway sign. It brought smiles to many faces as they walked towards the patio.
An fun sign I made for the patio entrance
"Friends of the bride, friends of the groom... Please sit together - there's plenty of room". So, I got the frame at a thrift store and the heart clips at Michael's. I hung that with twine onto a vintage standing lamp base that I bought at an Estate Sale. I topped it off with a vintage glass door knob up top where the light bulb would normally go! Talk about repurposing!!!
I made the table numbers for the reception
I cut, sanded, stained and polyurethaned my pallet wood. Glued down the burlap sections, and hand wrote my numbers. I hammered some black little tacks down on each corner just to add a little more rustic(ness). They were held up at each table by a wire picture stand.
My farmhouse window with a picture behind it
I glued down the kids' engagement picture onto my farmhouse window. At the wedding reception, guests signed around the perimeter as if it were a guest book. A nice keepsake that the kids now have for many years to come.
Coffee favors sign for the guests
A pallet wood sign I made for the wedding favor table.
Wedding Favors filled with Coffee
Favors I made for when the guests left the venue. They were filled with our own gourmet coffee. I tied lace around each mini burlap bag favor along with the tags that I made. These DIY's I've shown you were all fairly easy. Some took a lot of time but, I LOVED every minute of it. After all was said and done, I came home and so wanted to do it all over again. That's when I decided to keep making wedding and home decor signs and stuff. I figured I would give ETSY a try and sell my items there. Well, 3 years later... I've sold almost 600 items! I LOVE doing what I LOVE to do!
