Hello Friends,I wanted to share with you our newest project ( my Husband's)A friend of mine that I love so much, asked me to find a rocking chair and paint it for her. After few months I found this and asked her if it's OK. This chair wasn't so cheap cause it was real antique and very good quality. I mean, look at that seat how thick! Thicker than a butcher block and solid wood.

We suggested that we refurbish the chair only with stain and lacquer, and only my husband worked on this project.

He wanted to start the easy way, namely sander and thinner, but it didn't work. Than he decided to use stripper, to completely strip the whole chair.

What we saw was a very good quality solid wood. The following process was the staining.

After stained I applied a pattern on the back with antiqueen gold . And than applied gloss Lacquered.

Hope you guys enjoy.
