Is it a annual or perennial?

Is this a better picture? They came in many colors and grew about 2-3 feet tall but didn't come back the next year? I bought seeds that had a variety of perennials but perhaps there were some annuals in it or perhaps because I live in Minnesota they didn't survive the winter?

It appears to be a annual maybe fouroclocks. Photo could be a little closer perhaps.

Definitely Four O'Clocks. They're very nice but will spread like crazy if not kept in check.

Am SURE it is Bindweed. Invasive, wraps around anything verticle and kills it. Roots are underground runners and is a perineal. Pulling it only adds to the problem. I had tried everything on the market and could not kill it.

my first thought was 4 o'clock. They are annuals but Will re-seed themselves and come back every year

I think it's 4 o'clock, I have this plant in my yard. I bought it as a perennial.

There are two types of Four o'clocks, annual and perennial. The annual type is ok but the perennials are a nuisance and extremely hard to get rid of! It took me years to rid myself of these plants. Every seed that dropped propagated and flourished! The plants form humongous tubers if left in place and actually crack sidewalks! Karentfrye consider yourself lucky that you had the annual type. My advice, don't ever plant the perennial types!!!! You will be sorry!

I agree with Sharon. I have this in my backyard and it's very hard to kill. It wraps around everything. You need to pull it because cutting it does absolutely no good. It can be killed but the solution is very toxic and you need a permit to use it. Good luck!

    4 O'clocks, annual.

    Bind weed is a vine.

  • We call it creeping Charlie. Don't know why it got that name but it did and it is the worst to get rid of. Beglad it died. It has gotten into my old garden and killed some of the plants by over growing them.

The fushcia and white blooms are four oclocks. The paler pink top left corner of bottom pic looks like a zinnia. Bindweed has purple or white blooms and is obviously a vine. Fours oclock are bushy plants, they do not vine.
