I love hummingbirds! They're so tiny and pretty and just fascinating to watch! Hummingbirds rely on bright colors to find their food. Brightly–colored flowers that are tubular hold the most nectar, and are particularly attractive to hummingbirds. These include perennials such as bee balms, columbines, daylilies, and lupines; biennials such as foxgloves and hollyhocks; and many annuals, including cleomes, impatiens, and petunias You could also put out a hummingbird feeder- these are usually red and filled with sugar water. (That's what my mom has got in her garden.)

Thank you!! I do have the feeders out with sugar water too! I'm digg out a shrub in front of my kitchen window, where I have 1 feeder, its close to my front door and am racking my brain to find something that attracts the hummers but not bees, as I'm allergic. I know bees will be attracted to those bushes. Any other advice?!

My grandmother planted some "4 o'clocks" years ago, and they bloom every year. The hummingbirds LOVE them! I've even seen some sneak out after MIDNIGHT to come to them! They are "trumpet shaped" flowers and beautiful and hardy. I haven't seen any bees around them.
