I posted about my Concrete Pond here.

I got back a slew of very excellent ideas and this is ultimately how I completed the project.

In the linked article, I detail the the steps I took to Restore this Concrete Pond. Ultimately, I think it also contains some general purpose tips for repairing concrete.

Pull Weeds and Shovel out collected Leaves and Debris.

Pressure Wash the entire Surface of the Pond.
Repair a 1/2″ Crack in the Pond’s Concrete.

Parge / Re-Surface the Pond.
Paint with Pond Shield.
Install a Dedicated Electrical Circuit.
Set a Pond Pump.

My installation was very utilitarian. For us, with listing, I just needed a working pond. Both fish and plantings were not a huge consideration for me in this project. (They could be added at any point after.) That said, the sounds of the pump’s fountain, and the gathering frogs and squirrels were a bonus. I mean – we actually ended up Enjoying our Concrete Pond.

Stop over to read the entire article, I think you'll enjoy. ~jb
