2 Upcycles to Tea Cup Serving Trays

I took 2 different thrift store finds and turned them into a tea cup display & serving trays.

My first find was a candle holder.

I painted it with white Rustoleum spray paint.

After letting it dry for 24 hours, I placed my different tea cups onto the candle holders.

If you want it to be more secure you could use silicone, hot glue, E6000 to adhere the cups to the saucers and the saucers to the candle holder.

I placed it on my dining room table. I can use it as a display or ...

I can use it as a serving tray of sorts ... fill the cups with different treats for an afternoon tea.

Onto find number 2.

I found this metal holder in the thrift store, I'm not really sure what it originally held but I'm guessing some sort of bowls. .

I placed my tea cups and saucers onto the circles in the stand and they fit solidly. Again you could make them more secure by adding a glue of your choice.

Fill them with treats and place as a display.

Another option would be to place it outside and put birdseed and or water in the tea cups and make it an outdoor bird feeder.

This is just ingenious creation at its best! I have dozens of antique and vintage teacups and will surely be on the lookout for acceptable candle holders. Thank you,

You bet, Chas. I see so many things that just don't "hit" me. This one nearly made me do a back flip (Totally kidding on that) I'm not really a crafty type person but your designs are truly inspiring for the great teacups and demi's that I have. Have a great weekend and a terrific Easter. All the best, SherrylCm
