I love styling my sideboard in the conservatory for all sorts of occasions & it changes often. Our observatory is the space used most often so an interesting sideboard is needed & we use things right off of it ... I blog at DeeattheCarlton.blogspot.com - Dee at the Carlton is about my Shropshire home & life - pop over & say 'HI' or better still, subscribe & leave a comment. This is how I always start my sideboard - I gather together all the things I love & then decide how to do it ...
Easter bunny prints
I bought these two Easter inspired bunny prints on a visit to Riga in Latvia & have looked forward to using them on my sideboard.
The second print from Latvia - I love the cheerfulness & colour.
Vintage glass & silver
This vintage glass & silver container is perfect for the little chocolate eggs that everyone nibbles on over Easter. There is something quite lovely about vintage glass ...
This hand pottery bowl was a birthday gift some years back - it is the starting point for my Easter sideboard now - don't you love the images?
We have had two lovely house bunnies (the remaining one passed recently ages 10 years old, the other at 7 years) so we always have 2 bunnies to remember Fred & Vivaldi ...
Vintage mother of peal cake lift & knife
This Oliver Bonas cake stand is very sturdy with a copper base & a marble top. It is ready in place for an Easter cake which will be baked on Easter Sunday. I love to have the cake lifter & knife ready for it, along with cake forks & tea plates.
Easter cake forks
This cute little blue ceramic bunny sometimes holds bright daffodils at Easter. This year, he is keeping all the Easter cake forks & spoons handy . Paper napkins / serviettes are ready with the tea plates. It saves bobbing up & down to find everything needed.
Don't you love the cheerfulness of these spoons & forks?
I love glass cloches & this protects the little nest & the chicks ...
My Easter sideboard is always time to bring out the colourful items - this little teapot is so quirky ...
Bunnies abound at Easter, it is time to be bold with things we enjoy. The tall felt bunnies are Gisela Graham ones that are so very pretty; they also add height to the scene as they frame the bowl really well ....
The top of the sideboard holds our hoard of silver candlesticks with various candles. I love having them all on top & in easy reach because we just reach up & add them to the table at night. You might have noticed that the candles are different heights as they get used. This little woven basket front was found in Hobby Craft & I added the cheerful flowers to make it more Springlike / Easter.
The sideboard has the lovely Spode Chelsea Wicker plates with its basket pattern on the rim. They are favourite plates on the sideboard because they are both elegant & functional. Because our conservatory is used at night as well, I have added some battery LED lights to the scene & a strand of cheerful flowers across the drawers.
The sideboard in the dining-room holds our Easter Tree with its tiny felt bunnies & little eggs.
Easter bunting
Last year, I made this Easter bunting for our inglenook fireplace in the living room. The printed fabric was a shirt with bunnies on it that I cut up to make the bunting. It frames the fireplace really well & is grown up enough for the living room. I blogged about the project. I hope you have enjoyed my Easter home - have a blessed family time.

Suggested materials:
  • A thrift shop shirt with a bunny print, plain cream fabric for the bunting
