Peaceful Art and Front Room Reveal

I have been so excited to share my front room remodel! It took a while to piece together just the right mix for our family. This room is used for visitors, reading, private phone calls, family gatherings and quiet moments. It is the first room that you see when you come into our home so I wanted to make it peaceful, yet fun. Peaceful art can transform any room and this picture is just what I was looking for. The walls look cloudy because my light fixture in the room casts a pattern on the wall that makes the room feel even more airy.
I knew when I found this print from Minted.com it was the final piece I was looking for. I seriously poured over different prints for hours until I decided for sure what I wanted. There were so many beautiful ones to choose from.
I have a thing for nature prints with soft tones, light tans, white, blues, and greens. It makes the room feel so light and beautiful.
I am trying to hunt down a “before” picture of this room, but I have had a hard time finding it. Before we had a dark brown leather chair, a black and white print, and chairs from our kitchen table.
Now that we’ve been in this home for 5 years I was ready to make something a little more permanent. These chairs are insanely comfortable. They are double wide, not quite as big as a love seat, but bigger than a single seat. We can easily fit two people in each which means we can still fit our family of six into this small room.
