How can I remove a red drink (?) from beige carpet?

I have used table salt. I used a liberal amount of salt on red wine and kool aid spills to remove the stain. I poured salt on the stain and set a chair over it to prevent someone from stepping in it. Let set over night and vacuum up. Most of the time the stpain is gone, if not repeat. The stain was still wet at the time. If dry , misting with water should do the trick.

Sandra have you tried soda water, I have found this very effective in removing red wine stains from fabric or carpet, wet the stain with plain soda water and blot and repeat until the stain disappears. Once dry vacuum as normal.

i have used hair spray ( cheap kind feom dollar store) to remove ink from all types of material.

spray liberall or pour onto stain Let soak (approx 5 minutes), then blot. Repeat until stain is gone. ( the stain may look wor at first). Rinse hairspray off with whit vinegar.

i have been told you can also do the same process with 91% rubbing alcohol.

After blotting as much out as possible, I scrubbed with a thick Oxiclean solution, left it awhile then vacuumed. It removed red wine from my oriental rug.

We had the same problem when our grandson spilled Kool-Aid on our beige carpet! Folex is a brand that Lowe's sells, and has worked wonders with stains. I would spray the area until fairly well saturated, leave it for ten minutes, and stomp on it with a white rag. (Blotting was never my strong suit). I've been very happy with the product. It doesn't bleach, and has worked so far- on red wine, too.

If all else fails - move furniture or purchase a suitable mat to go over the stain, however I would suggest your contact a commercial carpet cleaner or the carpet manufacturer.

Just use simple Hydrogen peroxide, take out blood and wine and lots of stains from carpet and material....my boyfriend was amazed!!
