The Mini Metal Milk Jug You Can DIY

I would fill my house and garden with metal milk jugs if I could. Since there's no way to get one too soon, I'm happy with a small one instead. And this small one is a DIY one that I made out of an old 1 gallon pickle jar...
Wash the jar and wipe it out so it would be dry and clean. Spray paint it with paint with hammered effect, to make it look like an metal milk jug.
This step is optional because you can leave the jar as it is or go ahead and stencil it with a word and color at your choice.
I choose FARM, so I've made a stencil out of paper and fixed it with paper masking tape. For painting, I used chalkboard paint because I wanted something black and porous, but I think that a red word would have looked nice too.
Once the paint dried out, I decided to add a small detail to make it look better. I could have made some holders using an old wire hanger,but I was afraid I might scratch the paint on the jar.
Instead of a holder, I used a ribbon for a fancy effect.
I think that red ribbon and metal paint go along together pretty well. But something else was needed so the flower came into scene.
I'm waiting for the summer to fill my little metal milk jug with wild flowers. Till then, enjoy these lovely tulips that fit in perfectly!
