DIY Coffee Sugar Scrub

We had a TON of leftover coffee grounds from all our used k-cups. I decided to put them to good use. I've been eyeing the WAY too overpriced coffee scrubs for sale on Instagram, but decided to DIY it instead (the Hometalk way!)
Start out with used coffee grounds. Note: for this you'll want to use regular coffee grounds, not decaf. The caffeine in the coffee is what will give your skin the 'tightening' affect.
Add in 1/2 cup of used coffee grounds.
Then 1/2 cup of sugar (I used white sugar, but you can use brown sugar for something a little softer).
Finally add in 1/4 cup of oil. I used olive oil, but you can also use coconut oil or sweet almond oil. Whatever oil you fancy!
Then mix it up and use wherever you'd like! I used it on my hands and OMG they were baby soft afterwards! I plan on using it all over my body later on, it's amazing.
You can also turn into the perfect Mother's Day gift! I found this free printable tag on Pinterest and a fake tulip and twine from the craft room. I also stuck in a little spoon for easy scooping action. BOOM - instant affordable gift for Mom straight from your kitchen!

Hannah, have you ever tried it with coconut oil? My thought is that it's firm when cold and liquid when warm but I love coconut oil. Any thoughts?

Hannah, thanks for posting this! I'm always looking for ideas for my grandkids to make for their parents for Mother's & Father's Day. This might even work for their Dad!
