    Pruning is a very specific process. You will want to prune these vines when they are dormant (January.) Prune back to Healthy wood with a minimum of 3/8 diameter. Start the process over. Allow 4-6 shoots to grow from the pruned cane to grow in the next growing season. The next year let it go dormant (January) before pruning again. While dormant, choose 2 of Your thickest canes and prune away the rest. Once your vine produces fruit, clip any growth after the first bunch of grapes to ensure a good harvest...
