CHEERY SPRING TABLESCAPE DIY
Spring has definitely arrived and it is no secret that I love everything that spring brings. Decorating, gardening and especially entertaining. Time to reconnect with family and friends after the long and cold winter season.
One of the fun things about spring entertaining, is that it is relaxed and effortless.
Keep the vibe of your table relaxed... You can begin decorating your table with braided placemats to give your table an organic feel.
Select a color scheme that is bright and cheery.
White plates will make your table feel fresh and airy. It will also let your selected color stand out. My go to white plates are from Home Goods. The plates feature a beautiful dotted pattern that ribbons the outer edge of each plate which add subtle texture yet letting the yellow and white checkered napkins be the main characters of the tablesetting.
Accent details keep the table interesting. This flatware with a faux wood accent is from World Market. The pattern is called Sawyer.
Add an individual fresh floral arrangement at each place setting for an added pop of color and an unexpected surprise. I made these sweet arrangements by carving out a lemon and placing a few spring blooms inside. It was easier than one would imagine yet ideal for adding a bit of whimsy and fun to your table.
Grab fresh flowers from your local grocery store and place them in an unexpected container or vase to make a stunning spring centerpiece for your table. No need for perfection here. Let the flowers dictate where they want to fall...
Delicate white tulips, purple hyacinths and bright cheerful daffodils pay tribute to the season's magnificent floral offerings.
Smaller pitchers filled with the freshest and sweetest daisies adorn a corner of the table.
I had fun putting this happy and cheery table together. Nothing fancy or too elaborate. This is a table that anyone can put together in a few minutes. One that would make your guests feel welcomed and want to linger!! For me, it is one of the best ways to show appreciation for those you love...
