How can I clean those big foam jigsaw mats for kids?

The mats are kind of porous and hard to wipe thoroughly. Can I seal them after cleaning?

Warm water and dishsoap in the tub should do the trick!
The day care where my daughter in law works sprays them down with a bleach and water solution every night . I'm pretty sure it's one part bleach , and three parts water . They are required to disinfectant everything by law. That might be irritating to keep in your home . They spray and leave for the evening . It's dry by morning .
